You are ready to join Call of the Sea: The Everhart Expedition, but you may have no crowdfunding experience. If you are a firstimer, read the rest of the post and you will see that it is very easy.
What’s a crowdfunding campaign?
It’s a way to support the creation of a game (like ours!) before it hits stores. In return, you get it earlier in your home, with exclusive extras—and at a better price.
It differs from a pre-sale in the items you will get. It is a collaborative effort, so the more people who support the project, the bigger it will be and the more rewards you will get for your support! How? Let’s see.
How do you back a project?
- Go to Call of the Sea: The Everhart Expedition project page (tomorrow, once it launches).
- Choose your pledge level. The pledge level use to include a item bundle with digital or/and physical rewards.
- Enter your backer and payment details.
- Done!
For now, that's it. At this point, your credit card will not be charged. You can change your pledge, upgrade your pledge or cancel it anytime while the crowdfunding is open. Once the project ends, funds will be collected from backers.
An then? After 3 - 4 weeks, the Pledge Manager will open. You will be able to choose your language (English or Spanish), include more add-ons or upgrade your pledge, indicate the shipping address and pay shipping costs (the closer the shipping, the more accurate they will be). There is a shipping cost estimation in the main page.
What are stretch goals?
These are bonus rewards unlocked when the campaign hits certain funding milestones:
- Extra content!
- Digital or physical goodies
- New adventures or tools for gameplay
The more backers, the more funds, the more we unlock. Everyone benefits!

¡Hola, investigador!
Estás listo para unirte a
Call of the Sea: La Expedición Everhart, pero quizás no tengas experiencia en mecenazgos. Si es tu primera vez, lee el resto de la publicación y verás que es muy fácil.
¿Qué es un mecenazgo?
Es una forma de apoyar una creación, como la de un juego o campaña (¡como la nuestro!) antes de que salga a tiendas. A cambio, lo recibes antes, con extras exclusivos y a mejor precio.
Se diferencia de una preventa en los artículos que recibirás. Es un esfuerzo colaborativo, así que cuantas más personas apoyen el proyecto, más grande será y más recompensas obtendrás por tu apoyo. ¿Cómo? Veamos.
¿Cómo se aporta?
- Entras en la página de Call of the Sea: La Expedición Everhart (mañana, cuando esté abierto).
- Eliges el nivel de aportación (pledge level). El nivel suele incluir un pack de recompensas digitales y/o físicas.
- Rellenas tus datos personales e indicas el método de pago.
- ¡Listo!
Por ahora, eso es todo. En este punto, no se realizará ningún cargo a tu tarjeta de crédito. Puedes cambiar tu aportación, aumentarla o cancelarla en cualquier momento mientras el mecenazgo esté abierto. Una vez finalizado el proyecto, se recaudarán los fondos de los mecenas.
¿Y después qué? Después de 3 o 4 semanas, se abrirá el Pledge Manager. Podrás elegir tu idioma (inglés o español), incluir más complementos o aumentar tu contribución, indicar la dirección de envío y pagar los gastos de envío (cuanto más cerca esté el envío, más precisos serán). Encontrarás una estimación del coste de envío en la página principal.
¿Qué son los stretch goals o metas desbloqueables?
Son mejoras que se añaden si se alcanza cierta cantidad de financiación:
- ¡Más contenido!
- Extras físicos o digitales
- Aventuras nuevas o ayudas de juego
Cuanta más gente participe, más fondos alcanzaremos y más desbloqueamos. ¡Todos ganamos!
